PUBG developer Krafton has filed a lawsuit in opposition to Garena, Apple, and Google. Krafton alleged that Garena – which released battle royale video games Free Fire and Free Fire Max – has copied PUBG: Battlegrounds and is suing Apple and Google for distributing the games on their respective app shops. Krafton additionally accused Google of web hosting videos on YouTube that display the gameplay of Garena's Free Fire and Free Fire Max. Krafton has also allegedly taken a few actions against conflict royale games in question.
As per the criticism of copyright infringement, shared via The Verge, Krafton has filed a lawsuit in opposition to Free Fire and Free Fire Max developer Garena. The developer of PUBG alleged that Garena has copied its popular conflict royale title. Krafton similarly cited within the lawsuit that Garena has earned "loads of thousands and thousands of bucks" from sales from two video games and that Apple and Google have earned considerable revenue from the distribution of the two Free Fire apps. Both apps are still indexed on Apple's App Store and Google Play store.
Krafton claims that it took actions towards Free Fire and Free Fire Max on December 21. First of which protected asking Garena to "right now stop its exploitation of Free Fire and Free Fire Max, inclusive of by revoking its apparent authorisation to Apple and Google." Garena apparently refused to accomplish that.
Furthermore, PUBG's developer also requested Apple and Google to "stop distributing and exploiting" the 2 games on their systems, each app stores nonetheless indexed.
